It sounds very believable and wouldn't surprise me at all. Guy doesn't seem to have much of a work ethic.
I heard it on one of the Bears' beat writers' podcasts. I can't remember which one off the top of my head. But they said he did look really bad - and if he's not practiced much this year that is probably true. He is not that good of a player anyway. I'm thinking they will have to make him a depth player... a $30-million dollar backup. Arghhh...
Its shows that FA is a crap-shoot. Fans tend to believe that FA solves problems, but we all know that for the most part players are available in FA for a reason--age, injuries, decline in play...lots of different things. Very few FAs make it through their whole contract. Teams cross their fingers, hold their noses and sign guys like Davis all the time.
