IMO its getting to the point in the preseason with the install of a new OFF that the fringe guys like Scott and VJJ (if the team even considers them fringe guys) are going to be "safe" just from a practical standpoint. Davis practiced today, he's either a starting G or first depth piece IF he stays healthy.
I have a hard time believing any of those three are in any danger of getting cut at this point. Injuries and trades might make one of them "expendable" but...I don't see it.

Yeah, my critique of the these three players was born purely out of frustration.
There's zero chance that Scott gets cut. There's very little chance that Davis or Velus gets cut either. The reasons for that are obvious to anyone who takes a clear look. Agree with Brasil -- barring something weird, none of them are going anywhere right now.
Looks like Hard Knocks just backed some of us up. VJJ is the weakest link.
If what I'm reading about how teams are thinking about kickoffs now, VJJ will have no value unless he explodes as a RB in these next few games. I'm seeing that if the average run back is going to continue to be between the 25 and the 30 (I think its currently the 28 yardline in the PS), teams will just kick it into the endzone and start at the 30. If that is true, than VJJ has even more limited appeal.
Having said all that...don't neglect the possibility of Poles not wanting to cut loose a draft pick.
