Stellar idea. Back in the day, was it Rusty Jones? I just remember the Bears hired a guy named Rusty back in the day when they were going through a similar situation and were getting completely banged up in preseason and during the year, and I swear it was one of the best personnel hires the Bears ever made, as the injury situation went from one extreme to the other, and the Bears teams ended up being one of the healthiest in the league for the next decade - there were years where they were more competitive against far more talented teams late in the year, simply by not being banged up.

I don't know if those gurus exist any more, but I remember being extremely sad when he retired.

Yeah, Rusty was the guy, our injuries seemed to go way down when he took over. Every time this comes up, I tell the McC's to hire butkus3595, but they never do.

I honestly feel like Nate Davis is doing us a favor - it is like the Bears liked him more than I did lol.

What I saw last year was a guy who did alright against ok players, but got handled by better players. Him taking himself out of this conversation is what is best for the team.

I have a feeling we are going to see a significant focus on Offensive line next draft - because the Bears will need to, and frankly, other than another pass rusher they've addressed everything else on the team.

Flus said he has "soft tissue issues".

They tried to work him back in and he "couldn't go".

This guy is simply a lazy-ass who got paid and now doesn't want to practice. Easily Poles' worst FA signing so far.

Get his ass off this team as soon as you can which unfortunately probably won't be until Feb.

That is a good description of his play when he is healthy... he is an "ok" player against "ok" D guys. I'll give him that. Against good NFL players he struggles. I keep thinking of what the team could have done with that $30-million dollars this year helping this OL. To put that into perspective. A lot of us wanted center, Connor Williams, signed. He got $6-mil with only $3-mil guaranteed.
