I saw that. A modest one year deal with only $3-million guaranteed. It tops out at $6-million (potentially). It makes that $30-million dollar Nate Davis contract a bitter pill to swallow. LINK to info on the Connor Williams deal.
There must be a back-story to this. All of the decent centers make a lot more per year than that (and top centers knock down $12mil to north of $13mil per year). For him to sign for a chump-change, pocket lint, one year deal like this must mean there are some serious questions about his health. Otherwise he would have been paid a ton more than that.

I agree, but that's a big if. We need another IR king on the OL like we need the plague right now. The left knee injury was said to be "pretty significant and possibly career ending" when it happened in December. He also blew out his other (right) knee before that and had surgery. I know Drew Rosenhaus has been spouting how Williams has experienced a quote "miracle healing" after this latest surgery. Don't know how much to believe there though. $3-mil guaranteed doesn't look like a "miracle healing" to me.
