That is one of the most important things he needs to learn at the NFL level. He needs to understand it's best to know when to just toss the ball out of bounds, or run out of bounds. It seems so basic. Live to fight another day... it's not worth getting IR'ed... taking too many risks. I've heard retired veteran NFL QBs say that punting isn't always a bad thing.
It’ll be interesting to see how the refs deal with the hits CW will be taking vs how the refs dealt with the hits on Fields. Fields took a lot, in my opinion, of cheap shots that went uncalled and impacted his game.

I think what frustrated me so much, was the fact that the rules are not applied consistently. Some QBs get those late hits and the refs enforce penalties to protect those QBs. Other QBs get abused with late hits and no flags fly. The NFL needs to clean this up. Call the game consistently.
