I guess we are about to find out if he is as illusive as Fields. Hope he does not get broken right away
Yeah, I hope he stays healthy. But they all get injured I think at some point. He looks pretty solid, but so did Fields.
Yeah, they all get hurt, but don't want it to happen quickly. Hopefully he won't have to get hit very often. If he does, I hope he is stout. For all he got hit, Fields only hurt his thumb when he hit the ground. Let's hope Williams is not hitting the ground too often. He seems sharp. I hope he can be weaned off of hero ball and he just throws it away instead of insisting on trying when there is nothing there.

Can't wait to see what he plays like
That is one of the most important things he needs to learn at the NFL level. He needs to understand it's best to know when to just toss the ball out of bounds, or run out of bounds. It seems so basic. Live to fight another day... it's not worth getting IR'ed... taking too many risks. I've heard retired veteran NFL QBs say that punting isn't always a bad thing.
I think the discussion is too focused on Williams. IMO, what happens when we face the really stout defenses this season is as much of an issue how well Waldron does in preparing Williams, the offensive game plan and mid-game adjustments.
Again, IMO, this is on both Waldron and Williams. While I am sure Williams will have his "rookie moments" this season, it seems like he is an intelligent young man who is a quick study. As long as Waldron prepares him for what the opposing defenses will try to throw at a rookie QB and Williams recognized his cues for audibles, we should be fine. Especially if our defense can make it difficult for the opponent's offense.
But, it we see Wiliams struggle with reading defenses and/or issues with Waldron getting the offense right, we are (as Whisky Beer Bob says) f@cked.

It’ll be interesting to see how the refs deal with the hits CW will be taking vs how the refs dealt with the hits on Fields. Fields took a lot, in my opinion, of cheap shots that went uncalled and impacted his game.
