Very interesting comment IMO from Moore
"Anticipation is there," Moore said. "You can tell that he's expecting us to be open at a certain time. That's gonna be one of the things that's better.
If he is seeing a difference in anticipation so soon, that is very telling and it is great to hear.
Everyone thought Moore would hate Williams but he was just backing up his former teammate. I'm a betting man and I'm willing to bet he enjoys Williams more now just base off that comment.

If you are in a highly competitive environment, there is a visceral loyalty and affection that develops between the people in the group. This is even more pronounced when people are in an enterprise where physical and emotional trauma risks are very high (like the combat military, law enforcement and NFL football teams). It is a basic survival trait.

I think he made those comments about Fields should stay at first but he seems to change his mind.
The reason why he changed his mind is:
1. Either Poles, Flus or both read him the riot act and told him it is going to be that way. Basically stopped a locker room rebellion before it started (unlike Emry)
Or he's being loyal to Fields while he's still here, but now that he's gone he's loyal to the new guy that's here now. Not a hard concept, and doesn't need to be read a riot act. It's human nature, if he's a decent human being.

It's kind of like my own response to Fields/Williams as a fan. When Fields was here I backed the guy. When Fields was no longer a Bear, I wished him the best (and meant it), but "next guy up" is Caleb Williams and I'll back him. He's our guy now.
I don't hate on ex-Bears (seems kind of weird to do that). Just because a person is no longer on our team, why trash the guy? It's not like these players want to fail. I don't wish bad on anyone. Wish them luck and move on.

IMO, this is why you avoid head cases and go instead for guys who are real people with integrity and character.

I'm just glad a ton of Fields supporters finally realize how much better Williams is. Since before the draft we kept hearing how Fields needs a Super Team to make it to the Super Bowl to then disappoint all their fans by making him a backup QB at another team.

Caleb Williams has not proven anything at the NFL level yet.
We don't know (for certain) yet if Caleb Williams will be a star, or a bust, or something between those two extremes. I will always wonder what the Justin Fields outcome would have been with these players and O coaches Caleb is about to have Day-1 here. On paper it looks like both of these QBs had great college careers (obviously Fields had more success in the college playoffs). And Fields completion percentage in college was better. But CW had great stats too. I "get it" that people want to crown Williams before he's even played his first NFL game... and I hope he deserves that crown someday soon. I hope he doesn't bust, and I don't think he will. Fields will be fine and eventually will be a QB1 somewhere by 2025. It's a restart to his career. I wish him luck.
