Hey, I know everyone will go crazy, but yes it's a real article. I understand why he said it, but I can't agree at all. I think it is a dream scenario for Odunze. These are the same guys that do mocks. Another reason to just ignore what people say and see with your own eyes. Yes, Odunze will get less balls here than a team where he is the only good WR..... Probably, but in that case, the D has only him to defend, so it may not even be the case. And he would have no other WRs to learn from. Kind of a dumb position IMO, but hey.... I posted it anyway. I had to read it when I read the headline (clickbait). You just have to understand WTH the guy is smoking, lol
Sounds like a pretty awesome spot to me. He will have very little pressure his 1st year. And then, if he shows to be deserving, Keenan is gonna go, and Rome is WR1/2 next year. Sweet deal.
The article basically is saying Odunze landed in a bad spot due to the fact it is a good team loaded with talent. I get it, that landing on a bad team where the talent around you is bad, makes you "the guy" but would you really want that if you were Odunze? The article is right, that when you are on a good team you won't get as many passes because there are other good players with you (I think that's what they are getting at). The first season may not be a huge one for Odunze. But I'll bet he and Caleb grow into being great together for years to come. That's better for Odunze than being on a bad team - a big fish in a teeny tiny pond.

When has that ever been the case for us, especially at receiver? What a wild turn around.

+1 I'm still a bit stunned by it all. A few hours ago Kap touched on the magnitude of what Ryan Poles has done here in 26 short months. Only 6 players remain from the previous regime (and one of those is going to be gone shortly). I keep remembering how it wasn't very long ago that we had Bears fans wanting Poles fired. The only reason I toss that our there is that we (fans in general) are not always right. LOL, we sure think we are right though... until we're not. So far I like this regime of Warren/Poles/Cunningham/Eberflus.

Odunze will have time to develop into WR1 in the coming years. And if Allen gets injured, it could come even sooner. If he gets 59 receptions for 800 yards, that’s a great start IMO.

From a pure statistical stand point, yes...this isn't the best landing spot for him THIS YEAR. But from a career-long and development stand point, this is the PERFECT place to land. They talked about this on the Hoge and Jahns podcast. Receivers typically have an adjustment period from college to the pro's. Odunze gets to come in without the pressure of being THE GUY like Nabers has in NY and MHJ has in Arizona. He gets to learn from 2 of the best receivers in the game. One of those receivers, Allen, as we speak now is only signed for this upcoming season. So Odunze gets to get his feet wet in the pro game, learn from two of the best receivers in the league for at least a year before he has to step into that number 2 receiver role in his second season while he grows with a QB who they say is one of the most touted and talented QB's to come into the league since Andrew Luck.
From a developmental stand point I cannot think of a better place he could have landed. Of the big 3 receivers only MHJ perhaps has a better QB situation right now solely because Murray is established. Nabers has to deal with an oft injured Daniel Jones who is meh and a HC firmly on the hot seat.
