Odunze: Bears offense would be explosive if they select him

Here is a phone interview with T. J. Houshmandzadeh on the Parkins & Spiegel show on AM670.  Houshmandzadeh is a former NFL WR, mostly for the Bengals (link).  He has been training a lot of the WRs in the current draft class.  He has also trained Cole Kmet.

He had a lot to say on who well he thinks Odunze will fit in with the Bears and with the WR room and with Williams.  One thing he talks about it why he thinks Odunze was the best WR coming out of college into the draft in 2024.  He hellped facilitate getting everybody together for the recent training session and bonding experience that Williams hosted recently in California with out three top WRs and a couple of other folks.

That may or may not be true. In all seriousness, do you think Mahomes would have had the same success with the bears under Pace/Nagy as he has had in KC? looking back, I can now see how dysfunctional it was and the Bears QB killer program was in full swing. We did not have the coaches, the WRs, or the infrastructure to complement Mahomes. Could he have still succeeded? Maybe. A ton of talent there. But he might also never have been able to use that talent and he could have been another Justin Fields.

We will never know. But where we are now is probably better than where we would have been. No telling

I'm still not convinced but it's academic at this point. Not saying you would not be right. I'm just hard to convince.
