Also, water is wet.

It definitely should be. Half of the Offense would still be unproven. We know what Moore and Allen can do. Kmet also for that matter. Williams and Odunze would be the unproven players, but both have lots of potential and I don't think they will fail.

It would be pretty cool to watch Caleb and Odunze grow and develop together from day-1.

Like I said in another thread. It has been on IG that Moore, Allen Caleb and Odunze have been working out together. Caleb and Odunze were sharing a flight to the draft so it would not surprise me to see his name come up.

Sounds like Chicago is starting to be a place that players want to play in again.

But who da hell is going to be our DE !? We lost 2/4 starters on our DLine, we better get an awesome DE or we gonna have big problems.
WR even without Odunze will not be a big problem next year.

We just have to hope a good one is there with our 3rd pick and snag a decent DE when the first wave of releases happen. Or move up with one or two of our 2/3rd day picks next year for a 2nd rounder this year and get the DE that way.

Yeah.... DE and DT worry me. But even if we lose games over that, at least our QB won't be getting killed. Assuming that the OL holds. We made some improvements (hopefully) to it. Not sure if good enough until the season starts

Personally I am tired of mediocre QBs, the Bears share a large portion of the blame for lack of supporting cast. Various reasons, but in the end we failed QB. I hope we give new QB all the support we can, OL, WR, or even TE Bowers. Ngaukewe is still a FA and if he is worst case scenario the I am OK with this. DT3 is tougher but our great defenses lost enough superbowls, screw Defense let's outscore other teams like other recent superbowl teams do. If defense is so dependent on one player then I don't like it. But if true then sign a bunch of undrafted free agents, cut all the high priced defensive players and sign a top DT3 and put rookies around him and see how important he is. Just kidding but cmon man

I was thinking the exact same thing. It is so good to see the franchise beginning to get some respect. That sure feels good. I'm so hoping that this team of Warren/Poles/Cunningham/Eberflus can continue this initial success. This could be the beginning of something really good. We'll probably lose Cunningham to a GM job, but maybe the rest can stay together.

We will draft a DL player in round 3 and very likely sign a stopgap vet over the summer.

If they draft a DL in round 1, we will draft a WR in round 3 and very likely sign a stopgap vet over the summer.

JMO, but I'm not a fan of either Murphy or Newton in round 1. The former is undersized for what Poles/Flus have repeatedly said they look for and the latter is injured. As for the DEs, the only one who looks like a 4-3 DE stud is Latu and he too has major injury concerns. Turner isn't a 4-3 size player and Verse really hasn't produced great numbers.

The only defensive player who really excites me in this draft is Latu and that probably won't happen cuz Poles will be leery of spending a FRP on a guy with a major injury history, even if it was 2 years ago.

I'm praying Odunze makes it to #9 and Poles doesn't overthink it. Just draft him.
