It would be political suicide to back the McCaskey family and advocate a multi-billion dollar tax burden for taxpayers who are reeling with existing taxes here. It is a different time now than 20 years ago when Soldier Field was renovated. Helping billionaires like the McCaskeys when so many are struggling to make house payments and buy groceries - not happening.

Arlington Heights just released a statement basically telling the McCaskeys it’s no problem - come back and open arms await them. And a bigger tax bill now I’d bet. Old George McCaskey and the Fam are over a barrel now.
