It will be interesting to see what happens in this draft as far as bringing in another edge guy. Maybe edge is a position that slips to the 2025 year draft. Not every need is going to get addressed in this year's draft. Here are the options that Brad Biggs talks about in his article today:
Chris Braswell, Alabama, 6-foot-3, 251 pounds Marshawn Kneeland, Western Michigan, 6-3, 267 Adisa Isaac, Penn State, 6-4, 247 Mohamed Kamara, Colorado State, 6-1, 248 Austin Booker, Kansas, 6-4, 240 Jonah Elliss, Utah, 6-2, 248 Bralen Trice, Washington, 6-3, 245 (this guy sounds interesting, as far as later in the draft) Jalyx Hunt, Houston Christian, 6-4, 252
LINK Column: Chicago Bears need to enhance their pass rush. Here are 8 intriguing draft prospects who should be available after Round 1.
It’s not a great draft for pass rushers, and it’s possible only one or perhaps even none goes in the top 10 picks. That doesn’t mean there aren’t options if the Bears don’t select one in Round 1. They currently have four total picks, including No. 75 (the 11th pick in Round 3) and No. 122 (the 22nd pick in Round 4).
After talking with multiple scouts and considering traits that are important to Eberflus, here are eight options the Bears could consider if they are searching for an edge rusher after Round 1.
I just watched the PFF mock on YT. They go on and on about Latu. I mean they think he’s the best edge rusher in years. They have Falcons taking him at #8, allowing Bears to take Odunze at #9. This makes me wonder where he ranks on the Bears big board.

He's the best edge in this class but his medical history is scary. If teams are comfortable with his eval, he could be a top-10 pick. If not, he may fall to the 2nd round.
Of course it isn't. There was a reason we traded a 2nd rounder to the commanders for sweat....
Totally Agree!
A bit off topic, here is a really informative segment from Chris Long's Green Light YouTube podcast. They talk about a lot of stuff that are possible issues with the bears going forward after trading JF1. Locker room with a new QB. What Sweat thinks about Darnell Wright. Who Sweat would like to see as a potential DL teammate (meaning should the Bears draft another DE/Edge or does he need a better 3T next to him). IMO he was pretty positive about Dexter.

The teams have the info and it isn't public.
Maybe if he's really really messed up physically he drops to us in the 3rd... if he is on an aluminum walker, maybe even a 4th round pick for us. One can only hope, right

Maybe the board can take up a collection and we could buy him a full body cast. That should bring the interest down to where we can get him in the third.
