The Caleb "drama" - as Al Davis once said, "Just Win, Baby"

It's interesting poking around X (my social media of choice), and listening to the Score, and seeing people react to Caleb Williams ahead of the upcoming draft, or else reacting to the fans reacting to Caleb.
For those unaware, Caleb was spotted courtside at some basketball game (I think it was basketball), with a pink phone case, nails painted, and people were swearing he was wearing lip gloss (turns out his lips are natually that color, as if we needed that reported on - thank you for that one, media).
And on Sports radio, you could hear the usual talking heads tuning up the band, ready to start hurling accusations of -ists and -phobes at a moment's notice, on a hair trigger.
It's all so damn contrived and forced.
The reality is, whomever and whatever Caleb ends up being, all Chicago truly cares about is what Al Davis once said -
"Just Win, Baby."
Jim McMahon was a rebellious punk - a troll truly ahead of his time. Chicago loved him because while on the Bears, he won.
More to the point - Dennis Rodman was absolutely HATED when the Bulls got him. People didn't want the antics, the drama, etc. But when Rodman started playing, and showed Chicago he would bust his ass EVERY night and win his matchup every night, he went from villian to anti-hero in a New York Minute and suddenly even most of his harshest critics were singing his praises.
And it got to the point where he could show up wearing a wedding dress and talk about changing his legal name to Orgasm, and Chicago didn't bat an eye at it - because Rodman was a WINNER.
Whatever drama follows Caleb around, it can all be washed away, if the kid comes in, ingratiates himself to the locker room, and just wins.
So as media and fans try to pull your attention elsewhere and possibly even try to slander you, remember - Chicago always loves a winner....
