Bears are going to have to get the passing game some like they did against the Niners in order to run effectively though. The Packers are just going to stack the box the hole time otherwise. I still agree that they better pound the ball a lot.
As for the cold, as long as it's not too windy it's not that bad. I've been to a few super cold games before. I've been to two of the coldest games at Iowa in the last few years. The one was just above zero I think. As long as you're dressed for it and the sun is out it's not too bad.
I agree 100%. Barkley will get quite a test on Sunday. He just needs to be smart with the football. Loggains needs to call a smart game too.
All of the pressure is on Green Bay in this game. I hope our youngsters are loose, and confident, and just have fun burying the Packers in the frozen tundra of Soldier Field. No fancy field turf here. It will be like playing on a frozen Iowa corn field after it has been plowed :-)
I am beyond excited about this game. Go Bears!
Do you really think Green Bay is feeling the pressure this week???
Breaking the Packers playoff hopes on a -Hell's Freezing Over- day at Soldier Field is gonna feel so fricking good. GBs the one team in the NFCN we haven't beaten this year. Finish the trifecta of home wins, screw GB out of the playoffs and give them a middling pick in the draft. The only way this gets better is if we breaking Rogers fingers

A loss to the bears wouldn't eliminate them. Detroit could very easily lose to the Giants and Dallas.... Further, If GB can't beat this Bears team they don't deserve to be in the playoffs...
Well. you know where I stand, and I can't in good conscience argue for a Bears loss to Green Bay. I am just putting my blinders on and not looking at the opponent. Just looking at the potential benefits. So I am not going to argue with you about wanting to lose to GB. I just can't.
I didn't realize until now that the Packers have actually a shot at tying up the all-time Bears-Packers series. Right now it's 94-93-6.
It's the NFL's greatest rivalry. Check out how close the points are: Packers: 3,277 Bears: 3,257 spn.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/id/120904/packers-bears-the-nfls-greatest-rivalry

No, but a Packers loss would certainly make it more difficult for them to seize a playoff spot! Do what you can, ya know?
