Bears just signed Packer safety Jonathon Owen’s. Not very good at football but Simone Biles is his wife and she comes to most of the games:)
How are you feeling about Aaron Jones? I was excited to see him get cut from the Pack.. til he ended up a Viking.
I'm a minority here in Wisco in that I'm not upset about it. People here are sad/pissed.. He's turning 30 and has been hurt the past few seasons. Those guys fall off quick. Better to move on a year too soon. GB is going to have to upgrade it's oline (run blocking) because Jones could find holes that weren't there. Jacobs is a better version of Dillon so they will still need to get a speed guy in the draft.
David, Have you let Poles know that you are on a schedule that he needs to stick to?
Warren will let him know. So far, I’m believing Warren. He says he wants a Super Bowl and he is an “impatient” man. The average life expectancy of a GM in the NFL is 4.3 years. If he’s not Super Bowl ready by 2025, Warren’s patience will wear thin — I hope.

FA is mainly for filling holes. Getting too aggressive early in FA can saddle you with a bunch of contracts that puts you in cap hell. The draft is where you build the team.
I'm fine with Poles taking his time with this. I'm not a big fan of the Swift signing but the others look like solid additions. I would be very surprised if Poles opens up the bank for anyone this year. I don't think our QB situation justifies trying to go all in on big money deals. Maybe if we make the playoffs next year and things look like they're on the upswing we splurge on some FA guys to make a big push in the following years.

That's my take on it all too. I do like Poles being thoughtful about how he invests the Cap money. As fans we want the best of everything, as if there was a money tree growing at Halas Hall.
