I want to see two players out of this draft 1st round : Marvin Harrison with 2 or three pick( after trade ) with New England . Swap 1 and 3 . Bears get 2 this year and 1 next year . Then OT from Oregon state Fuaga with 9 pick . Address the Defense after that in draft or free agency

Welcome to the messageboard, Steve. Good to have you join us here. What to do you think the Bears should do at quarterback?

He’s taking Harrison and Fuaga in first round. Sounds like he’s keeping Fields at least one more year.
Keep fields one more year , I know the money involved in keeping him and he probably should be traded but I feel the guy can win , if the team wants a big haul why does it all have to come from one team/trade ? I like Peter King … trade the 1 pick to Washington, get what you can , with the 2 get Harrison or trade for more, get your haul of picks Raiders, falcons ,Steelers etc .. if Fields is kept Atlanta trades up or goes Mayfield or Cousins. New England is my wildcard , do they build for next couple of years or get greedy. Would love to deal with them and get their first round next year !!! I think that would be a top 3 pick .

Your critics will come here soon to tell you Fields can’t possibly win a Super Bowl even if you add Harrison, an All Pro center, and whatever else you can get in trades.
One scenario, but the one I most want . It gives the bears some great talent and a chance to plug a few other holes with quality players. Could draft. A

Yes, and if Fields can’t win with all that support, the roster is set for the next QB. That ship has sailed and, for better or worse, the Caleb Williams yacht is about to dock in the harbor.

I tend to agree with you that he can win. What is complicating this whole thing is the opportunity of having the first pick and the QBs that are available. If he does not do what we think he can, then we may not see this opportunity again (as a matter of fact, probably won't). I do know that if can take that step, the best thing we could do is trade that pick and get a haul big enough to fill most of our holes, but I think they are going to go with a new QB. There are almost 100 pages in the Caleb Williams thread, and if you have the stamina to read through it, it has been hashed and rehashed to death by people on both sides of that argument and most of it is well reasoned.
