This is a good review article regarding the immense value of that #1 pick THIS YEAR in the draft due to Caleb Williams being so coveted. Throw out that old draft trade chart this year. It has no real-world meaning in this instance. There could even be a double-trade down with that 1st round pick too. It boggles the mind to think of how Poles could play his cards this year. For the "talking heads" who are saying it's a done-deal that Poles will take Williams, I think they could be dead wrong. I don't think Caleb comes here. And frankly, I am not convinced Williams IS the best QB in this class. I 100% believe he is a good QB but being WAY over-hyped.

If someone is going to pry the No. 1 overall selection away from the Bears, they are going to have to pay -- and pay a lot.
Along with the No. 1 pick, the Bears also have the ninth selection this year, their own pick. Before anything, though, the Bears first must do a full evaluation on all the QBs, not just Williams. UNC quarterback Drake Maye and LSU's Jayden Daniels are also in Jeremiah's top five.
