My gut feeling is that both Williams and Maye will be good NFL quarterbacks. But they bring different talent to the table. Both just need to land on a team that can support them with great coaching and O players around them - and build the offense scheme to maximize their gifts. One or both could bust if they land on a team that is incapable of developing them.

that about sums it up. And most of the time, if not all of the time, we never really had the infrastructure in place to nurture a new QB. The ecosystem consists of more than the players. It is the coaches also. That in itself is both scheme (building the strengths of the players he has to work with) as well as being able to call the plays and counter opposing plays. We have not been strong in one (or usually) more.
