And this is what makes the decision so hard. We could REALLY upgrade the team if we don't get a QB. But if Fields is not the guy, then it won't matter because it will be hard to take any really large steps.

I totally agree. And consequently I do go back and forth over what would be best here. There is some risk to whatever route Poles chooses. But if they can hit it right, holy cow, it could be quite a team here, beginning THIS year. I think that is why I am not going to be critical no matter what path forward the Bears take, and instead I will just watch and see if it works or not. It really is an exciting off-season for us.
