New offensive coordinator thread. Who do you want?

This was my sons first real NFL season, we saw every Bears game (live or day after) and a pile of highlights all over the place.
So, somewhere mid season I started explainin to my kid that Bears are not gonna reach postseason. So he decided that we need someone to cheer for in postseason too.
So after careful evaluating and discussions with me, he came to conclusion that we gonna cheer for either Dolphins or Bills. So, in that case, I of course opted for the Bills as I see them historically as similar to Bears.
We were kinda of worried 5-6 weeks ago cos they were not standing too good. But, now we are happy we have someone to cheer for. And from all the 6 games ahead of us, Steelers at Bills is the ONLY one we can watch live, 7 pm Sunday our time, which is amazing coincidence. And that vs Steelers, another blue collar franchise.
Gonna be good.

Your posts regarding your son remind me of my own experience with my own son.  Good memories.

And regarding the Bears struggles, I believe there is something to learn by being a fan of a team like the Bears and not jumping ship each year to whomever happens to be good that year (I see this around town with people just jumping to winners that way).  There is something good about learning to have patience and to persevere through tough times in life.  That includes sports.  My son played the various sports and his first 3 years of playing he did not win a single game.  Not one win.  Three long years.  He worked so hard to be good, and was never a star player at any sport.  But holy cow, Alex, the kid worked his butt off trying.  I remember one of his coaches in grade school telling the kids that if they had half the heart my son had, playing for their team that NOBODY would beat them.  LOL, I thought that was pretty cool.  In the end he played on a state championship winning team.  Their tiny high school won it all - they played that game at the stadium at the University of Illinois.  This tiny high school of 400 kids won it all.  LOL, I froze my butt off watching that game but it was an incredible experience.  

It meant more because it did not come easy.

And regarding the Bears I lived through the horrible years of the 1960s and 1970s.  It was far worse than what we have gone through in recent years.  It really was.  But I never bailed as a fan.  I rode it out.  And you know what?  When that 1985 year came it was worth it.  I believe it was arguably the best season an NFL team has ever had because us fans had waited so long for a championship - and that 1985 team was one for the ages.  Chicago and Bears fans all over the country experienced an incredible season - I don't know if there were many pro sports teams that had seasons any better, partly due to the long wait (LOL, I guess the Cubs WS year was another great one).  

Anyway, I think it is a good lesson for kids.  Stuff in life, the good stuff, often does not come easy.  But you have to persevere.
