All of those things career highs, except for INT's...which were both career lows as a starter.

He was also on the Pats staff and followed Weis over to Notre Dame. Also spent time with the Rams.

For a young guy (44) he has done a lot of coaching it seems.

Impressive 2022 numbers particularly. Geno was a bust beforehand. He was horrid with the Jets early in his career. I remember Rex Ryan calling him: "brutal". Not often a HC is that blunt.

It's funny how some coaches learn from mistakes and evolve into better (even great) coaches while others are just bad and never get better. I think one of the most important qualities in a coach is humility. Admit something isn't working and adapt. Instead of stubbornly and pridefully trying to pound the square peg into the round hole.

There is that, but there is also the guy that simply knows no better. That is what they know and so that is what they use. Some people are able to see and learn and others just don't have that ability

Poles said he wants someone who can fit their scheme to whoever is on the roster. Waldron got the most out of a guy who was considered hot garbage. And the modified WCO is predicated on attacking deep...which last I checked was one of Fields strengths. However, like Poles indicated, Kyle Shanahan does a great job tailoring his offense to his players. He didn't ask Garrapolo throw deep, cause he sucks at that.
