New offensive coordinator thread. Who do you want?

I would be fine with Kubiak too.  Either of those guys would be a huge upgrade over Luke Getsy.  

You never expect much from rookie WR's. They likely have never had to deal w/the level of DB play in college that is in the NFL. Route's and moves have to be exact and crisp you aren't going to out athlete an NFL DB most of the time. Moss was one of the greatest ever, and even he struggled at times against Tillman. 

The fact that they improved that quickly is impressive. Stat wise, no one stood out, but Love was able to just find the open WR and get them there b/c there was no safety valve, which was even more impressive for Love. 

Mooney was never a #2, good guy, good WR, but nothing a defense has to worry about. No DB is wondering how he's going to stop Mooney. They need a legit 2 and 3, but that doesn't mean you need MHjr either; that's who you get if you don't have a guy like Moore. You rarely see teams w/a 1 and 1.5 at WR.

SF Deebo 2nd rd pick, Aiyuk 25th overall pick
Cincy Chase 5th overall, Higgins 2nd rd
Tampa Evans 7th overall, but FA for tampa, Goodwin 3rd rd

You can get WR's in the first 2 rds. It's not like DE or LT or QB where the vast majority of the great ones are early in rd 1. It's closer to OC, but for different reasons. OC just doesn't go in the first round, and isn't seen as vital, not sure why but it is what it is. WR just has SO many So many that there is always going to be someone that fills the teams need later on. Are they the freaks you can get early like MHjr or Jefferson, probably not, but as the list shows it's not like you cannot get great talent in the 2nd-3rd either. 

if the Bears went 1/1 QB, 2nd 1 DE/OT then in rd 2(Fields trade?) went WR rd 3 C and in FA went and got a good WR/TE/OG the team has set itself up to support a young qb. 

If they stay w/Fields, and trade back to 4-8 and get a haul, you can get WR/OT/DE(2 of the 3) and then double dip at WR/TE/OC/OG in the 2nd-4th I'd be fine w/that also.  Whatever they do the O has to be the focus though. the Def is more than capable of holding it's own for a year while they fix the O.

I wonder if they could draft a development C/G and sweet talk Jason Kelce to come here for a year or two?  Probably not possible but boy that sure would be one heck of a mentor for the development kid.  Pipe dream but a good pipe dream...
