They probably figure Howell is as good as Fields and will probably have higher draft position anyway,  so I don’t see how that works.

CHGO was talking today about how the mood in the Bears locker room has suddenly changed.  Apparently, a number of players also made comments critical of Flus with regard to that dumb 3rd & 13 defensive play call he made.  The team has held together remarkably well up till now, which was a credit to Flus, but it appears cracks in the ship's hull are starting to form.

I say this because I wouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves about draft order predictions and what players will go where.  Yeah probably true that Williams, Maye, and MHJ will all go top-5.  Not a guarantee but likely.

But I wouldn't at all be surprised if the Bears end up with two top-5 picks either.  Chances of Carolina winning 2 more games is minimal.  Chances of Bears losing out is higher than you think, especially if the team is quitting on Flus.

Cards O has looked much better lately and Murray seems to be getting back into form.  Wouldn't surprise me at all to see them beat us this weekend.  And Flus isn't gonna win in Lambeau even against a crap Green Bay team.  Can we beat Atlanta?  You would think so but they are still fighting for a playoff berth so should be motivated.

Our strength-of-schedule is laughably weak (been saying that all season) so we have the tiebreaker against anyone who equals our record.

I would consider that too.  It all depends upon how the Bears view these QBs.  And maybe the guy at #4 is actually the QB the Bears prefer anyway.  I'm not on the Caleb hype train.  He may go first, yet not be the right guy for us.
