I'm out running chores but getsy #1, flus #2, fields #3 - Audible dude you know running into a stacked box is a no-no.
Exactly
I'm watching the CHGO post game vid and they are still slobbering all over Justin.
I agree he played pretty well all in all. He played Game Manager good with his stellar running ability added in. 169 yards hardly blows me away when 200 is kind of the bare minimum in a modern quality pass offense.
I want more though. It speaks volumes that the OC still doesn't trust him in year 3 to go out and win the game. They took the ball out of his hands at the key moments in the 4th quarter and turtled up.
Today's game reinforces once again what I have been talking about with regard to running the ball.
Bears ran well today. Had nearly 200 yards and dominated TOP. We had the #1 rushing O last year and are top-5 this year. Yet, it doesn't matter. Have a 6-21 record despite a very soft schedule.
Unfortunatel running the ball doesn't mean much in the modern NFL. It just doesn't win many games compared to passing.
Same thing applies to Fields. He ran for 104 but only threw only 16/23 for 169 with 1 TD and 1 fumble. We knew he can run o/w I'm unimpressed. Those aren't franchise QB kind of numbers. especially against a weak secondary that committed 3 big penalties.

Flus, Fields, & Getsy aren't "the guy".
Replace all three. I'm done with all of them.
And Poles is just an innocent bystander. Coaches were dealt a bad hand THIS year 2023 (not talking anymore about 2022), and have played it poorly.

Go get Harbaugh and then I don't care what happens with the GM position.

Poles is not innocent. He is not a bystander. He did a very good job getting us out of CAP hell. He has several pieces to build with. He fleeced an NFL team to get DJ Moore. We have a lot of draft and CAP capital next year and the year after. It is a work in progress. Could he have done better? Maybe. Possibly. It's early yet. 3 years to judge a draft class, right? But Flus & Co. are pathetic at their jobs and can and should be replaced ASAP.

Offense: Moore, Brax, Wright,Jenkins (when not injured) Defense: Sweat, Johnson
The rest of this team is a bunch of average (or worse) NFL starters. Other teams since 2021 have done a much better rebuilding job (Lions,Seahawks, Jags). They are competing for the playoffs, while Bears still suck.

THIS ^^^
I'm agnostic on Poles. Velus and Claypool were whiffs o/w he's done pretty well. I would have signed Orlando Brown and a Center over Davis and a 2nd ILB personally but whatevs. I don't think Poles seat is warm.
There's no way this coaching staff gets a pass though. They are vastly underperforming reasonable expectations in year 2 and have no introspection whatsoever about how bad they are.

All 3 of those have competent coaching staffs which the Bears do not.
That's the biggest reason why we aren't 5-6 or better right now. Look at our schedule this year. It's a joke.
