So, this is an article from CBS Sports. This is mostly for Ric. I haven’t seen all these players, but I have seen Wright, Witherspoon, and Carter. At least for those 3, I think they are accurate grades.
They even grade tackles Paris Johnson and Brodrick Jones slightly higher than Wright.

So what are you hoping for with all this? For all of us to join the "David's hate the Bears club" or something?
You need a hobby if all you do is try to find new ways the Bears suck. How about do the flip side and look for Bears players that have gone above and beyond what is expected of them?
I also feel this should be in the NFL tab as all you are doing is looking for new teams to cheer for.
I wanted Paris Johnson as much as the next guy but I have zero problems with Wright. He's a good OL player. We need more of that here in Chicago. Also very happy with Jenkins. Hoping he can stay healthy long term.

As I said, this post is for Ric — not you. I don’t hate the Bears. I hate what Poles has done to the team with the players has he brought in and the stars he has passed in draft and free agency. One thing Ric and I agree on is the talent level of the team once you look beyond Moore.
Specifically, I was talking about Carter as Defensive Player of the Year and Stroud as Offensive Player of the Year. Wright has given up 6 sacks — probably headed for 10. I could see giving a “B” grade, though, as his run blocking has been outstanding.

I don’t have a big problem with Wright per se, but I wanted RT in second round(instead of Stevenson— pff grade 49, can’t cover worth s**t) and draft Anderson/Carter in first round. Now, seeing how all these rookies have been playing, it’s hard not to conclude that the Bears would have been better off.
Isn't Broderick Jones just now breaking into a starting role? Thought I saw that somewhere. Wright has been starting since week 1. So I don't buy that one bit.
Loved Paris too, Wanted him for us. AZ made a great freaking pick to snag him when they did (which was ahead of us).
Witherspoon looked like a stud CB prospect before the draft too. Again, he went before us so kind of irrelevant.
As for Carter, yeah it wouldn't surprise me if he becomes a great player. He's in the perfect situation with the talent on that DL and that vet locker room. Does he keep his head screwed on straight? That's a different story.
Oh and finally, Darnell Wright is an O-TACKLE. Not a "right tackle". Hopefully this isn't necessary, but if Brax flops, Wright will be playing LT in year 2 or 3. He has the feet to play either side. Tristan Wirfs had the same position trajectory along with multiple others. It's not uncommon.
Point is, DWright isn't "just a right tackle" and therefore less valuable. He's gonna be a very good O-TACKLE. Ideally on the right side with Brax holding down the left.

Not just that MP, but the best DE/pass rusher just isn't coming from the blind side, ie LT anymore. They put them on the left or right side if needed, which is why Crosby and Mack ended up on Wright some of the times.
PFF and old heads haven't caught up to the reality of the NFL. You need 2 stud OT's, not just a stud LT and a good enough RT. I want to see Jones and Wright battling eventually for the primary starting OT spot (LT) and the other gets RT. My guess is if Wright stays healthy, and that shoulder doesn't continue to be an issue, he'll have a faar superior career to Jones, and while no one ever talks about the great OT's like they do pass rusthers, he'll be up there w/Carter and Witherspoon also.

If you’re playing RT exclusively, you’re a right tackle. You obviously need studs at both positions, but there is an important difference — the QB gets hit from blind side on the left. I want my best pass blocker on the left for that reason.

So, I checked on Broderick Jones. He’s played 190 snaps. That’s enough to at least get an idea of what he can do. I watched him in one game. So far, he’s very clean in pass protection— zero sacks allowed and only one penalty. As I recall, JABF liked him.

Where did I say anything about RT or LT, exclusively or that even being important? Don't get your conversations all in a mix.
The best best pass rushers move around, blind side or not the qb not having time to throw is the problem. Your old world thinking of the NFL is outdated and not in line w/how the game is played. I don't care where you want what, unless you are coaching. The NFL coaches want to OT's that can do the job at a high level.
