What does PFF say about Jimmy, they're apparently the end all be all
I never seen anything about Jimmy G in PFF.
Neither have I, twas a joke though. Don't really care if they think he's the 2nd coming of Tom Brady. For what he's going to cost, and the Browns likely trying to pursue him the cost would be way to high.

Well, the Browns management is worse than the Bears.. So they will give up a lot for Jimmy G.

Well they have 2 firsts and 2 2nds so they have the ammo to get it done without risking their future
Of course you know the answer is yes. So how can you defend a grading system that says they grade all those the same? Explain it.
Easy. Just like you and everyone here, it's easy to tell when someone fucks up.
RARELY if ever do I see someone here take into account scheme. I see a lot of stat mongering (which doesn't take into account scheme, btw). If I see a player WHIFF a tackle, if I see an OL get burned around the edge, If I see a DB 5 feet behind the receiver, I don't need to know their assignment to know they fucked up and I can give them a grade especially when it's a simple grade of -2 to + 2 on each play (like PFF does).
Now, to the broader point. YOU don't watch every player on every play. Hell, I am pretty comfortable making the assertion that you rarely watch every play in a game (bathroom breaks, beer breaks, blow outs). You probably don't know or keep track of who's on the field in a given play other than those who the camera pans to and who are directly involved in the play or the **** up. You also don't go back and rewatch the game looking at every player on every play and you aren't triple checked by a grade you give to a player.
Hopefully you can understand that much.
You don't do those things but you still blather a lot.
I like to blather too, but I am willing to trust those who watch the game with a closer eye than me. Let's name the people who watch the game closer. The Bears staff and players. K but they aren't gonna reveal shit. Opposing teams - they aren't gonna reveal shit. Scouts. They aren't gonna reveal shit. Pro Football Focus. They reveal there info.
So while the Bears, their competition, and scouts would be better sources of information, they aren't giving us info. The next best source is PFF. They aren't the best source. They aren't the second or third best, but they are FAR FAR FAR FAR superior to the blathering of fans like you who look at a stat sheet and camera pans to inform their opinions.
Now, back to the topic. I'm working on the Nick K. tape but since i'm wasting time on you, it's gonna be another couple days. I'm done talking about the PFF topic.
PFF is a superior source of info than Ric and that's just the facts.
More deflection I'm not surprised.. NO ONE HERE IS PAID, NO ONE HERE CLAIMS EXPERTISE. More importantly, no one here is grading a player and staing they are better or worse then anyone else on other teams.
Stop Deflecting. Can someone grade a 3-4 OLB in a zome sheme and a 4-3 OLB in a man scheme the same way and have that grade be accurate?
Right not the only person blathering is you trying to find a way to defend the indefensible.

How am I deflecting? I'm answering your question. What's your definition of deflection ric?
You didn't answer any question Do different schemes change the responsibility of positions? IE does a 3-4 OLB and a 4-3 OLB, or 3-4 DE and a 4-3 DE have the same jobs? yes or no. you didn't answer
Do different coverage's w/in those schemes further change responsibility? IE do zone coverage CB's have the same jobs as man coverage CB's? Does man or zone blocking matter along the line? yes or no, you didn't answer

The very definition of deflection is not answering the questions you are asked.

Obviously the answer to all of them (based on the way the question is framed), in a black and white world, is yes.
Now, here are my grades of every snap Nicky took in the first half. I didn't pay ANY attention to scheme, just him and I don't think there's really much to dispute.
