Just a question: Would anyone trade Fields for Chase straight up?
I mos prob wouldnt, still have tiny hopes Justin could be our QB for years.
I wouldn’t. I’d make it a conditional pick, 4th that could become a third. I have some concerns about Chase. Injured, missing games…I understand Washington’s financial issues, but they seem to be giving up on him rather easily. I could be way off base, and most likely am, but this trade just doesn’t feel right to me. If we do it, I hope I’m wrong!

If Warren figures Bears will probably draft a QB and Fields continues to play the same, is his trade value higher now than next year? If the answer is “yes”, the Chase Young trade looks good. If Young continues to play well this season injury-free, his free agency price would be very high.

I wouldn't say they're giving up on him. More so they have two DE they have to pay. Washington can't afford to have 100+ million on the dline alone. This is some what similar to the Raiders with Carr and Mack. Take advantage of the commandos cap issue and improve the team.

Agree, they have 2 good DEs about to hit FA with big money already invested on the interior DL. They can't keep all of them.
David made a good point that Young's price is gonna go way up if he finishes this season like he started it.
