Harbaugh and Warren do not get along, started w/the Covid stuff and has continued over a few other things. Bears team Pres and Harbaugh don't like eachother, are they making up; I doubt it.
I have not heard this, I actually heard they had cordial relationship since Warren was Big 10 commissioner and Harbaugh coach at Michigan. Read an article just the last few days on there connection and no reference made about bad blood between them. Would not think Harbaugh would be getting feelers out there if he and Warren had issues, I assume Harbaugh or his agent is floating this interest

Unless things changed no, Harbaugh was not a fan of how the Big10/Warren handled covid. Harbaugh wasn't quiet about it either.
Could they have made up, maybe, but last I heard it was still contentious. Wasn't Gabriel, might have been Hoge/Jahns. Cannot remember.
Harbaugh isn't stable, don't be surprised if he's just looking to get out of Mich as things are starting to close in as scouts/coaches under him keep getting in trouble.

This is my biggest issue with Harbaugh. IMO Over the years, he has shown issues with self-control and temper. As has been previously said by many folks on this thread, he needs total control, and I don't see him "playing nice in the sandbox".

I see too many indications of an explosive personality who is demanding but can be abrasive with management. Hard pass then if that were proven to be the case.
Harbaugh has always tended to make enemies, because he has a singular focus.
People balking because Harbaugh would want complete control are focusing on him being his own GM, but that's not how he would operate:
He would want complete control, but that includs bringing in a GM - not actually him doing GM duties. I read there's a personnel guy he's already connected to, but I don't remember the name.
Harbaugh would be more of a hybrid President/HC...
Like Halas.
I love it.
Sometimes old school beats new school.
The beef with Warren is recent and known. As for the beef with La Famiglia McCaskey, most don't really know. And those who do know, aren't talking. I just think it's Harbaugh representing all of the things the McCaskeys want to lean away from because the memories are... painful... or something.
Anyway, Kap has a new video up. And at the end, Flus gets an ass-chewing.

I agree, we need something different, God knows what we have being doing for the last decade or two isnt working. We need McCs to stay away and get an alpha coach.

You stated what I feel about moving forward perfectly!
We have been "rebuilding" but never really doing it. We have been pulling in old Bears retreads and long-term associates to the owners for as long as I have been a Bears fan (and that goes back to the early '60s).
We need a competent, modern, fresh and current management team, coaching staff, etc. If Warren it the president we need, great! If he thinks Poles is a solid GM, great! If he wants to burn it to the ground and start anew, great! But that last option will be hard to watch.
I want to see a well-run and competitive team here. And that's something that we haven't seen since the Jim Finks/Jerry Vanisi days.
The only way he would agree to come here is if he was given complete control of all football operations. Poles would be GM in name only and Warren would just be "the new stadium guy."
That will never happen. Warren would have to fire Poles under this scenario. I would hope Poles and Harbaugh could work together. I have to believe Andy Reed has some strong convictions they deal with in KC so hopefully Poles is adept with working with strong minded coach.
This would be best case scenario. Poles could use a more experience voice when picking players from a multi-year, experienced head coach and Harbaugh could use someone more draft and scouting savvy to do the heavy lifting and save a coach from making bad long term decisions, thus saving them from themselves. Ryan and Jim could be an excellent pairing like Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch in San Francisco.
