And if the Bears know one thing, it’s how to find a talented QB. 😜
+1 But not as well as the Bears fans who have already crowned the kid from the tiny D2 school, (the Shepherd Rams). LOL, he is 3 weeks out of his rookie training camp. Of course he should be a starting NFL QB. Oh wait. What? Shazam. Us Bears fans know stuff. Shazam.
One thing I do know. We do love our training camp heroes. Shazam, right? :-)
If there is an NFL team so desperate for a QB, they sign one the Bears cut, they deserve everything they get.
I think what made Bagent so popular here in Chicago is that he actually ran the offense in preseason. He looked like he was in control of what was happening on the field. That's only something we fans see on other teams.

IMO Bagent has an innate understanding of NFL offensive schemes. And it is unusually advanced for a rookie.
If you pull a lot of his pre-draft interviews off YT, he talks about having to surviving the constant replacement if HC's and OC's in his college career. He approached every one of these as a learning experience and tried to get as much out of the change as he possibly could. Again, IMO, this is an extremely intelligent and mature approach to a bad situation.
Something that Fields could learn from Bagent. Actually, something that a lot of us (including myself) could learn from Bagent.

I agree. We all saw it in PS. Yes, I know it was against backups but you could see Bagent naturally has pocket awareness, fluidity, quick decision-making, and good processing skills. He was impressive in HOW he led the offense despite being physically limited.
If you could somehow marry Bagent's brain to Fields' athleticism, we'd have the franchise QB we have all been waiting for.

Coach speak for "JF didn't throw me under the bus". Dude, wake me up when you don't scheme 3 consecutive telegraphed screen passes and Justin throws for 350 yards & 3 TD's plus no ints.
