No, he really wouldn't. Injuries can happen in training and rehab, even when following doctors orders. If he showed up, did his rehab down in Florida I would think it meant he got the teams permission and a guarantee that if he were injured they wouldn't void his contract. And if he didn't get that guarantee than I would think he isn't getting great advice from his agent/team doctors/coaches/teammates/etc.
