I was looking over our scoring this season. We have averaged 14 points per game. With Barkley starting we've scored 47 points in his 2 games (averaging 23.5 points per game). If it were not for the WR drops we'd be closer to 30ppg.
I wonder how Barkley would do if our starting WR's were playing instead of the stone-hand backups we now have like Bellamy?
Anyway, here's the latest draft prospect chart from CBS Sports. If Barkley does finish these last 4 games looking like a true quality starting QB (we will be playing legit good teams), we don't have to go QB in that 1st round.
Would you stroke-out if we took the top LT in this draft, Alabama's Cam Robinson?

What's wrong with Massie? He's been playing good when he doesn't have to worry about a QB who holds onto the ball waiting for AJ to get open.
Yes. I like what I see but what has Barkley done so far except beat the worst defense in the NFL on a day when they had almost zero for an offense either. I'll give him credit for a nice 2nd half against Tennessee but they rather stupidly played soft zones and prevent stuff against him making it easy and they damn near lost because of it. If he beats Detroit, GB, and Minny then we can talk long term deal ok?
They need about 6 QB prospects competing for a starters job and IMHO Hoyer shouldn't be one of them. If they're bound and determined to move on from the past then Hoyer is another part of the past that didn't work. There'll be another ration of vagabond vets just like him out there next year so sign one, draft one, find an UDFA, get Shaw up and running, sign Barkely, and then get something in return for Cutler if one of these guy can take over.
