There is a lot of blame to go around. Yes Jay is responsible, but he never had the talent around him, nor an effective Offensive Line or any decent WR..
There will be many eulogies about the Cutler era, this one ranks about a 1 on a 100 point scale with 100 being prize winning journalism and 1 being a high school freshman journalism first semester opinion homework assignment.
Cutler didn't fail because of Lovie, Cutler failed because he was stubborn. Repeatedly throwing off his back foot, forcing balls into coverages, trying to make every play count instead of settling for the next play (ie throwing the ball away)...All of these were fixable to some extent. He was not helped with the poor OL play, sub-par WRs, 27 different OCs since he's been here, etc but not adjusting his style of play is totally on him.
What will be missed will be the rocket arm, the ability to absorb punishment and the quick healing.
Did that article blame Lovie for Jay being a turd?
I would like to re-write that as "How Chicago Was Sabotaged From The Start By Jay Cutler".
+1 I would carry Jay to O'Hare piggy-back on my back if it would get him out of here faster. I don't hate the guy at all. I am just wanting to begin the post-Cutler era ASAP.

You just want to have Jay on top of you.
LOL, I feel like he has been doing "unspeakable" things to me for years :-)

Hate is a very strong word, but I have always been critical of Jay. 2009 told his whole story for me. Hell, 2008 did too...but only "McDummy" read it right.
(If anyone remembers it...I started the "Bears Bought a Lemon" thread on CBMB after Jay's five pick abortion against the Niners in '09)
And there was the Battered Housewife Bears believing they could change Jay Cutler no matter how much he hurt them.
Well if we just do this for him or just get that for him...he will be happy and productive.
I think Hub makes a HUGE point that people keep forgetting.
NO team trades a 25yr old 1st round pick at QB w/only 3 years in the league and went to the probowl(even if only as an alt) w/out there being something wrong w/that qb.
