We'll have time to discuss this later, but I'm beginning to see posts across multiple sites about not needing to draft a QB this year because Barkley shows promise.
Lot's of people show promise. I thought we had our starter in Caleb Hanie for a short while.
Rex showed promise Orton showed promise Cutler showed promise Enderele showed promise Hanie showed promise Fales has promise Shaw has promise
Promises are apparently shit, apparently everyone has some.
I really like Wormely and Hooker in that first draft though. Legit 5 tech and legit FS in the 2nd and 3rd and you got the most pro ready qb in the draft.
I like that too. In my mock draft, Kizer was gone by the 3rd pick of the first round. Granted, the mocks mean zero in the real world. But I'd sure feel better if we had that #2 overall pick in this draft. In the mock, the first two QB's were gone off the board by the time we picked at #3.

It must be the 2 ints he threw. Or maybe the 72.8 passer rating. He's as "good as Cutty" in their eyes, so that's a done deal - we got our franchise QB of the future. Chicago fans have lowered the bar so low for QB that it makes me want to cry over their stupidity.

I started seeing those and it was like my worst nightmare coming to life.

I think having a Hooker on the team would build moral also. I say go for it.

I went ahead and did one. I tried to adhere to a BPA philosophy and I used ESPN's grading system because I wanted something to base my opinions off of, nobody selected had a grade below 74 I believe. Trubisky and Watson were gone 1 and 2.
3: R1P3 EDGE MYLES GARRETT TEXAS A&M ***Gives us another weapon on the edge to build a deadly pass rush. It was between him and Fournette, and I sure as hell wasn't picking Peppers.
35: R2P3 CB MARSHON LATTIMORE OHIO STATE ***I don't know if you've noticed...but our secondary needs some help. He was the highest rated player left available as well.
67: R3P3 RB D'ONTA FOREMAN TEXAS ***So this isn't exactly a need like the first two picks were, but I said I was going BPA and he was the guy. I'm not necessarily upset about it either. He leads the nation in rushing, is 6'1 250, and has great change of direction and speed. Not a pass catcher however.
106: R4P3 S MARCUS MAYE FLORIDA ***Again more secondary help and BPA
118: R4P15 QB LUKE FALK WASHINGTON STATE 145: R5P3 ***So this was the only time I went away from the BPA because I really want to see the Bears draft a qb. Falk was the best available and I like the pick if we're not getting one in the first round.
EDGE TACO CHARLTON MICHIGAN 221: R7P3 ***Has the frame to grow into a 3-4 defensive end. Good against the run but needs to develop more as a pass rusher. Plays with a great motor.
WR TAYWAN TAYLOR WESTERN KENTUCKY ***I like this kids potential, level of competition is a question, but he was also BPA.
