Watsons stock hasn't gone down and Kizer will still be a Top5 pick.
Wouldn't surprise me if we see 3 QB in the Top 10. Browns, 9ers, Jets, Bears... we all Need a new QB.
By everything read and seen on Twitter by the writers, Bears are scouting the top QB prospects heavily and they will find their guy. Depending on how the season Ends, I could see us trading up to #2.

This is what I don't want to happen. We need help in a lot of places. If we need to trade up to #2 to get our guy, we really hurt ourselves in continuing to build our team. I just hope that we end up at #2 naturally, but Fox is going to try to win this game as he should and this is a winnable game. I am concerned that we actually do win it.

In my draft, Kizer was gone when we picked at #3. Some have him as the #1 QB in this draft, and some don't. I do agree with with BIH, in that I hope we don't win this game on Sunday, and will end up with that #2 overall pick of the draft. Not only because of the 1st round, but also because picking #2 in every round of the draft will get us opportunities to have 3 picks in the first 66 picks. That's pretty powerful stuff. Does that make a big difference? In that mock draft it was significant (I thought) with the 2nd round pick verses the 3rd round pick.
I could see picking one of those top-2 defensive players of this draft over QB, but hopefully if we pick at #34 (2nd pick of the 2nd round) there is a solid QB there. Or (I hate to say this) if there is a QB who is truly special that drops to the lower part of that 1st round (as Aaron Rodgers did his draft year) then go for broke and trade up for a second 1st round pick. I'm not saying pull a Ditka like he did in New Orleans, but with our high 2nd round pick we could jockey into the 1st round I think, without completely killing our draft. At least you would have accomplished two things in this draft:
1. Drafted a truly elite D guy, and 2. Drafted a franchise QB.
If we got nothing more than that out of this draft, I could live with that. We would still pick up some decent talent with the picks we had left. Pace has shown he's decent at finding later round gems.

Those right there are my hopes also. I was also thinking about a super D stud at the first with a QB in the second. It all depends on who the QB that he wants is. He may have to use the first to get him. The real trick as it always is, is knowing who to pick. History has shown that teams simply don't know. Everyone passing on Prescott is a case in point. Don;t think for a second that if Pace knew he would be that good he would not have picked him. We simply did not know, same as every team.
If you know your guy, it is easier. Everyone THINKS they know their guy, but they only really know their guy in the second or third year. Unless you get one of those beasts that is a stud right out of the gate. Always what you hope for and rarely what you get.
I really like Wormely and Hooker in that first draft though. Legit 5 tech and legit FS in the 2nd and 3rd and you got the most pro ready qb in the draft.
We'll have time to discuss this later, but I'm beginning to see posts across multiple sites about not needing to draft a QB this year because Barkley shows promise.

Lot's of people show promise. I thought we had our starter in Caleb Hanie for a short while.
