Jets have Mike White starting at QB. I had to Google to find out who the heck he was. Bears don't know who's starting at QB yet. Fields has a separated shoulder with partially torn ligaments. The Bears would be nuts to have him doing his running back gig with that injury. JMO. But what do you all think about this game?

I'm actually pretty interested if and only if Simian starts. Here's why. We all agree the offense has made strides the last few weeks. However the WRs aren't producing outside Kmet and Mooney. Sure we get a catch or two from the others. If the WRs produce against a pretty good defense we will know that Fields has progressed though still not either trusting the WRs or trusting himself. This is more of a test of the rest of the offense with not as much a run threat at QB.

+1 That's a good point. Trot Simian out there and see how the O functions with him. I just can't imagine the Bears would be stupid enough to allow Fields to play with a separated shoulder and partially torn ligaments in it. We see the punishment he is taking out there. His teammates commented on it this week. Why risk tearing up that shoulder even more? He said today he is experiencing extreme pain with his throwing motion now with the blown shoulder. LOL, so what makes the Bears think this is a good thing to let him play? Can't throw. Shouldn't run. Total steaming crap OL "protecting" him. Pitiful WR unit that can't get separation, run correct routes and catch a football. SMH.

Imo if they trot Fields out there then they also don't think he's the guy and we're drafting QB in the 1st and will look for trading partners in offseason. Which ironically if he gets hurt would hurt his trade value. Though if Simian gets the start and all of a sudden the WRs produce. Then what can we say? That's why to me this is a very interesting game, maybe most interesting of the season. If WRs don't produce then we can get behind all new WRs. If they do how do we get Fields to trust them??

I am also interested to see how our OL blocks one of the best DL in the league. These guys can sack the QB. They are as good as anybody in the NFL except Dallas. Can't expect much from QB or WRs if the pass rush is getting to Simian constantly. Jenkins must put on his big-boy pants and play. Schofield was horrible at RG against the Falcons, and Jets would be even worse.
