That average has already gone down as of last week, and Atl's def is ranked just above ours; and it got the QB hurt. It's a gimmick, like Nagy's, except Nagy's didn't get figured out mid....after 5 games...and it didn't get the qb hurt.
Stop lying to yourself that this is sustainable. The only reason it works in Balt is bc year one they said F it, we cannot run a traditional O w/Jackson and went all in on big plays via run or passes. The Bears didn't/haven't even started that process. And the difference is Jackson isn't sitting on the sideline mid season.
It all comes down to how good Poles is at doing his job evaluating the talent he selects. The excuse for him in 2022 was that he had no first round pick and limited cap space. But I have to ask whether a more experienced GM could have done better than Poles with what he had. I mean, here is what he has to show for his work...

This is over 100 transactions in draft/FA/waivers/trades, and only a few of these guys are what I would want in my starting lineup September, 2023.
What the hell is this guy's problem?
/sarcasm
------------------------------------------------------------
Have to say, I find it very ironic that Poles has so many big critics and snipers around here. Because many of these same folks were busy making excuses for Ryan Pace in years 6 & 7 after the guy stepped on his own dick a dozen times with bust draft picks and dumb trade-ups.
How about we give the guy a chance, huh? If the team still blows bad in 2024, yeah I'll be right there with all of you in calling Poles out for the lack of progress.
