We'll now be able to determine if Adams is really that good or he just benefited from a HoF QB.
Always remember that elite QBs can make WR look better than they actually are. Adams is a great WR, but let's see if he can be that great w/o Rodgers.
I remember in the KC game when Love was throwing balls that weren't even close to him and his body language said it all... I think he wanted no part of life in GB without Rodgers two years from now
1. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Also...we're assuming Rodgers doesn't pull a Rodgers and is actually there...
2. We shall see.
3. I did not omit 4-5 pro bowlers or guys you somehow deem are on the cusp. Yes. He's hit in the draft. Congrats. Even GM's who get fired hit on the draft. You made it sound like he is the best GM in the league at drafting and his average hit rate is tops in the league. He has had misses, many of them...as I pointed out(because that was my point).
4. I didn't gloss over it. It was included in my calculation. I'm looking at the roster as it is RIGHT NOW. I'm not sure how many times I have to say that.
5. I know when the season starts, but we are talking about RIGHT NOW. I could see Kate Upton being attracted to me if we were to ever meet...but we don't live in the same area of the country and I don't know that that will ever happen LOL! The guys you mentioned are not on the team right now and may never be on the team. Also...see point #1 for your reference to past performance.
6. See point #1...again...and who's underestimating their opponents now?
7. This is YOUR quote from your original post: "Remember they completely dominated SFO in that playoff game"
Glad we agree though. LOL
That sentence you highlighted was picked out of the paragraph where I was discussing the defense... Sorry it was confusing, I was only referring to the Defense dominating SFO.... Clearly the offense and special teams weren't dominating that game:)
"Remember they completely dominated SFO in that playoff game and only lost because of the worst special teams performance anyone has seen in a football game."
There's the rest of it. You mentioned the defense in the prior sentence. My fault for not realizing the rest of it was about the defense, as it was not mentioned again.

As I said in my reply to PT...if you watch Adams run routes, its not Rodgers making him look good...its him making him look good. Rodgers just has to deliver a catchable ball to him. If you don't watch him run routes and just look at his stats you might wonder how much is actually him and how much is Rodgers.

Time will tell. They are losing an amazing player but they will add to this and hopefully have good receivers. Thought to consider. In the LaFleur era: 8-0 without Adams 25.6 PPG with Adams, 31.6 PPG without I think the offense will be better simply with the addition of two pro bowl offensive lineman replacing lesser starters and improve running game. I see them using some high draft picks and maybe free agency to help the receiving core
Just went back several sb's, not one team was overly invested cap wise in 1 player, let alone QB or WR. Not one team had 1 player w/a cap hit over 25mil; and that 25 mil was always a QB, not a WR.
biggest thing is this: "3. The packers now have 5 picks in the top 100. Gute seems to be playing chess on draft day while other GM's are playing checkers. 5 picks in the top 100 could land us upgrades at DT, Safety, ILB, OL, TE or WR. There will be guys from those top five picks that are ready to contribute right away."
the draft is a huge gamble, even if you're good you'll bust more then hit big. The key is having 8+ picks in the draft, preferably 10-12, the more you have the more shots you have at winning; especially like this, 5 in the top 100. 5 picks in the first 3 rounds is huge. You can in fact go bpa w/all those need positions; you shouldn't have to reach for any of them.
With the Wilson trade, the Seahawks have 8 drafts picks and 4 in the top 41. They will use this to fill holes and figure out the QB next year if Lock can’t “manage” the offense without causing turnovers in the Seahawks run-oriented offense. I will be watching Bears and Seahawks closely.

If they have 4 in the top 41 they could use that to move up and draft a rookie they like. It doesn't sound like the top qb's in this draft are looked quite as upon as in the past few years. Seems some could be had for a small move up outside the top 10.
Or they can look for a less expensive trade for a guy like Baker or Jimmy G; and then wait for a better draft class.
Dang, a 2022 1st and 2nd round pick for a guy they drafted with a 2nd rounder.
The Bears have never gotten that kind of return on a player. Trick is, in order to maximize on this kind of move is to hit in the draft.
Well and also consider they got a one and two for a guy who a. Didn't want to play in Green Bay b. Wanted to play for the Raiders... I would have been happy with just a second rounder.

Seahawks have a terrible team now that Russ is gone... Wouldn't shock me if they start trading veterans to tank for next years draft...
