I will be the first to admit I have not paid much attention to the Bears this season. From April til about a week ago I was completely focused on the Cubs. That's part of the reason I wasn't on DBS much except to check in now and then.
So the first game I actually paid attention to was yesterday's, I can see that my initial thoughts on the season were dead on. This is a garbage team that needs a lot of work to even be competitive again. I thought last year was bad, but this year is going to be even worse. Worst part is, I am not even sure we have a competent GM that can find us the pieces we need to even look like a legit NFL team.
Our offense is in shambles, no real QB, no legit WR, no TE worth a damn and broken a battered OL.
I am not sure this team will win another game.
I am glad then Cubs won the World Series and played into November. It allowed me to ignore this Bear shit team for the first half of the year.
Time to see who can help in 2017 and which pieces we can get rid of.

Great Title. Great Thought. SO TRUE!
The Bulls? They lost my attention when MJ retired. The Blackhawks? Multiple rungs higher on my list than the Bulls but still way too early. I start to follow them around the start of the new year when the Bears are hibernating.

So, only winning teams have your attention? Very cool
I'm getting to that point. Bulls spoiled me. Why dedicate that kind of the kind of team that is not interested or not capable of building a winning team. I'll be honest there were many a Sunday I skipped Bears football to study at the library instead of watch the Bears; college mon-sat was mostly class and drink/hangout Sunday was the only day available. Maybe that would have changed if the Bears hadn't been such a shit show. Middling of .500 followed up by multiple 4 win or less seasons followed up by 2 more sub .500 seasons.
This team is getting to that point again. And I've had next to no attention or interest in them. Why wouldn't you want to watch the Cubs, MLB is boring but at least the Cubs were winning and looked god on both sides of the ball. The Bulls are doing their best job to the the D'Antonio Suns, who need's def? But at least it's fun to watch on one side of the ball. Right now the Bears are struggling to put 4 qtrs together, and if they F up the 1st 2 they are DOA for the next 2. I'm always happy for the Hawks, but Hokey is just not enjoyable on TV.

Yes, which is why he follows the Bears. They are the All-Winners squad.
I choose which team I watch more by which sport I enjoy more, not by which team is doing better. Football is my favorite sport followed closely by baseball. The Cubs took over my attention this year for obvious reasons but the Bears are always there. After them it's the Blackhawks not only because they are great but because I actually enjoy watching hockey. I would put basketball right there with hockey if not above it but only because of college basketball, the NBA is far behind the NHL for me. I use to love the Bulls when I was a kid and MJ was playing. I really enjoyed watching all of the games with players like Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley and Larry Bird. After MJ left I just lost my desire to watch the NBA in general, it's just not entertaining for me even if the Bulls were the best team.
It could be worse gang. Imagine if you will being stuck in Rod Serlings "Twilight Zone" where the TV has only one channel and all it plays are reruns of "Green Acres" and "Petticoat Junction".
