A co-worker just stopped by to say he heard Dallas is shopping Romo to the Bears. The trade deadline is past, so this would be for next season. Here's his existing contract details. He will be 37 years old for next season. I'd be sick if we did this. What do you think?
Tony Romo could be cleared to play soon though his chances of reclaiming his old starting job may be low. Rookie Dak Prescott has been leading the way and it may be detrimental if the Dallas Cowboys suddenly make a big switch.
The problem is not limited to this season alone. Looking ahead, the Cowboys may have found their quarterback of the future, not to mention young and injury-free, SB Nation reported. Could there be a chance that Jerry Jones trade away his veteran quarterback?
Tony Romo Headed To The Chicago Bears?
Though Jones’ fondness could hinder any possible trade moves, it would be best to keep an open mind. At 36, only a few teams could be interested in adding Romo – made harder with the fact of his prone to injuries.

One team that could be open to getting Romo is the Chicago Bears. Jay Cutler is not expected to return after this season, capped by the fact that he hasn’t exactly struck it out well with head coach John Fox, FanSided reported.
Right now, Fox and the Bears are reportedly sticking it out with Cutler because of the injury to Brian Hoyer. But once the season is over, ties are likely to be cut with the Bears freeing themselves $14 million in salary cap space.
Romo is an Illinois alumnus hence spurring his potential coming all the more. With the Bears in need of a quarterback, Romo could easily fit in to a place where he could be of use.
A lot may depend on the fate of Romo for the remainder of the season. Many believe that Dallas is better off with Prescott while Jones still has a good chance to get his old job back. It is a tricky situation for the Cowboys where a wrong move could snuff all their accomplishments so far for the 2016-17 NFL season.
I''m calling it nothing more than click bait and pure BS. Why not just keep Cutler? There's not much difference between the two with the exception of Romo being 3 years older. A move like that is a nexus between idiotic and plain old insane.

I agree Soul. Except idiotic and plain insane is how we're rolling, so they'll do it. :-)
