Change this Bears team now, and start with Jay Cutler

I agree he's the best we have on the roster.  How sad is that?  It's like saying J'Marcus Webb is the best lineman on your team.  Pitiful if true.

And yet we don't possess a top three pick or even know if any QB in the draft is even worth a top three pick right now.  In fact we don't even know what QBs will even file for the draft.  IIRC most of them mentioned so far still have another year of college eligibility.

Besides those are far from the only options we might have come next March and April.

Can you just tuck this dump Cutler now campaign of yours away until we at least see how the rest of the season shapes up?  We don't even know at the moment who the HC might be because if this continues Fox may be gone even before Cutler.  Then we'll have even one more element to toss into this shit stew we call a football team.

And some have Trubisky as a mid teen pick and Watson and Kizer ahead of him.  And some have them as late as 2nd round picks.  The point is no one really knows so what you believe is just that and only that.  There is no clear can't miss top dog here so an educated guess isn't all that educated.  It's simply a guess your using to keep pressing this issue.

Even if you end up being right and Trubisky ends up being the #1 overall pick that would still mean we'd need the worst overall record to have a shot at him.  We've played 9 games.  There are 7 more to go and we have no idea right now how we'll finish.  Once we know that, and how the draft prospects for all of these guys, QBs included, end up being ranked some time next spring then maybe you won't be the only one to make an educated guess but right now it's far less then even a legitimate guess.

No one is debating you about the need to draft a QB but the questions of who, when, and where are a long way from being answered right now.  We couldn't make a move on it now if we wanted to.  No one is even debating you about Cutler's performance.  He stunk just as he has many time before.  I'm more about learning why it happens right now than wondering if it will happen again.  In all likelihood it will.  But even that makes no difference in the present scheme of things.

Cutler is all we've got 'til January and then thing will begin to take shape.  So please stop beating your drum on this.  We hear you and we know your position on it.  But that isn't gonna change anything between now and January either.  You'll have all spring long to push your thinking on this but I want the drum be silent for now, OK?

Biggest part of the problem is the lack of trying on the Bears part. They drafted Jim Harbaugh in the first round in 1987. Thirty years later and how many other first round Quarterbacks has this team drafted?

Two.

You can count Cutler as at least the franchise taking a third shot, but the lack of investment at the most important position is leaving the Bears stuck in neutral.
