I think that's a good description of Mitch's performance with Lazor getting better performance from him now. That description is not over the top, but not doing the Chicken Little thing either. He is a good-but-not-great option at QB (with Lazor's use of him now) at a time when most of the NFL doesn't even have that level of QB. At least I'd take Mitch over ~half of the QBs in the league that I see this year... the Lazor version of Mitch anyway.
I'll say this for the zillionth time here. We need to keep this "good but not great" option at QB until we can find a better option. Never move on from a guy until you have a better option. Not if you don't have to anyway.
Don't disagree, I just don't see how they do it. Someone will give him boarderline starter money high teens to mid 20's mil a year. Not sure the Bears would be willing even if they could. Nagy basically sealed Mitch's fate last year and the start of this year. Mitch will be as anxious to leave as the Bears will be anxious to move on. I'm interested to see what their plans are b/c I don't think they'll be better off next year then they are this year.
He said this is the best Rogers and the O has looked in a really long time. Rogers is getting rid of the ball at around 2.5 seconds, and if he does that good luck stopping him. He said your only real shot of slowing this O down is to stop them w/only your front 4 getting pressure, you cannot blitz Rogers in this O he is getting hte ball out to quick; db's need to cover and front 4 need to get pressure quickly.
He said he likes Mitch in this system and thinks he's playing his best football and has been higher on him then most have the entire time. Now the Bears are in a rock and a hard spot b/c what do you believe. He said he might not have the ceiling of Cousins, but Mitches base is higher then Cousins and would prefer Mitch if he's playing like this to Cousins. He's always felt that Mitch had the potential to be the 2nd best qb in the div.
I don't disagree w/that; Stafford is like Cutler, 100% wasted potential, Cousins never reached his ceiling and his floor is lower then Mitch. 10 in this system running better then the 2018 same style(w/obviously better weapons) makes him look like a legit option at qb, even if not elite.
Said the GB def is good enough and b/c their CB's are good enough they can use Amos as an in the box safety where he excels.
He has GB winning b/c they are just the better team right now.
I don't disagree w/any of what he said. GB is the better team, better qb, better recievers(I'll take Adams 100x's over ARob and that isn't an insult to ARob), and a def that is doing it's job. Chicago has the lesser qb, lesser recievers and a def that isn't doing it's job. With GB having a bye to play for I don't see how Rogers doesn't play balls out to get it w/the addedd bonus of F'ing the Bears.
I would guess it's a better game then the first one, but the Bears still fall short. 35-28 GB.
Regarding the GB offense... McCarthy's last few years they really were soft. Had no running game... Receivers couldn't get open... It was Rodgers running for his life and getting killed a half dozen times a game... In Lafleur's offense everything is different... TE and Receivers have to block for the run... Running game is amazing. This sets up the play action which also delays the pass rush.. Rodgers is doing play action at twice the rate he did it two years ago to amazing success. Receivers are getting open and Rodgers rarely takes hits (which puts him in rhythm). Add to that ZERO crowd noise so he can use his cadence.... And now throw in the big rookie RB that can smash into safeties... If the defense can just hold serve and not give up 36 points every playoff game this team will be a tough out... The Bears will be challenged Sunday.

Unless you have to give him too much salary cap for too many years like the Vikings had to do with Cousins.
Sorry this comes out so jumbled... Tried to fix but still comes out jumbled. Statistical ranks for the two teams, per Pro Football Reference:
GB CHI Points per game 31.6 (1st) 23.7 (18th) Points allowed per game 23.5 (16th) 22.3 (9th) Takeaway differential +6 (7th) -3 (21st) Passing yards per game 257 (9th) 227 (22nd) Rushing yards per game 135 (8th) 102 (24th) Passing yards allowed per game 219 (6th) 231 (13th) Rushing yards allowed per game 113 (14th) 115 (15th) DVOA rank 3rd 15th PFF overall grade rank 1st 12th
Yeah, quite a difference between the two teams for sure. One of the disappointments with this defense in particular is that turnover thing. The team isn't forcing turnovers like in some of the past years when the D was better. It's a huge help when the D is getting turnovers and the O getting short fields for drives.
eh, he enjoys the rivalry cuz he knows how much we suck and how easy it is for him to win. 20 some years of it.
Gotta say I don't want to see the Bears in the playoffs... 3 times in one year and a team that won't be afraid of the cold... Don't want to see the Bucs either with Brady... Bring in the Rams... I'll Never forget when LA came to Chicago in the playoffs in 85' with a good team and couldn't wait to get back on the plane
Packers will be bringing their "A Game" for sure in this one. Bears gotta produce a run game in this one or it could be a blowout loss I think. I really believe that if the Bears can't be effective with the run game then it's a house of cards and it all caves in on us.
LINK Bears' worst nightmare? Aaron Rodgers' final push for MVP, No. 1 seed for Packers play
One final push for the MVP. More records for Davante Adams. The chance to keep the rival Chicago Bears out of the playoffs.
Maybe they're all somewhere on Aaron Rodgers' mind as the Green Bay Packers prepare for Sunday's regular-season finale at Soldier Field (4:25 p.m. ET, FOX). All of them came up in one form or another on Wednesday.
But so did this: Rodgers' predecessor Brett Favre used to hate it when players said they needed to crank up the intensity or preparation in advance of a game because Favre would say it should have been that way from the start.
"I'm with Brett there," Rodgers said. "I don't feel like you should have to crank it up at certain times; it should be cranked from the get-go."
Still, Rodgers mentioned earlier this week during his weekly appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" that other than Lambeau Field, Soldier Field is one of his favorite places to play.
"Any time you're playing Chicago, there's always that little extra that's built in the fabric of the organizations from the history of playing so many damned games against each other and the mutual feelings that both fan bases have for each other and the grinding games that we've had over the years," Rodgers said Wednesday.

This game is exactly what the Bears organization needs at exactly the right time... What better time to have a "prove it" game for a QB coming into a contract.. Going against the Packers 2nd string defense would have told you nothing.
