Don't stress soul. its hard to reason with people who believe that:
"And yes i see it on TV...like every other person not at the game. Also after last week I would almost be inclined to say that there seems to be an extra effort from others without Cutler in the line-up.
Maybe they just feel like they need to pick it up because superman isn't in there...but my tin-foil hat is shocking me and I am actually starting to think that they are tired of playing with Jay as their Qb..."
Everyone comes with preconceived ideas. Some of us believe the narratives, some don't.
Well if they are tired of seeing him as their QB they sure a hell didn't play like in Monday night and I doubt they would have given him credit for motivating all of them with his pregame speech.
That was Kush and Larson blocking for Howard and keep Jay's front porch clear not Sitton and Long and never in a million years would I have ever thought those two guys would handle the Viking DL as well as they did. Hell I can't even bitch about Massie this week.
i can't stand this shit. motm, you are a media sucker. you buying the new story that Rogers has sucked since deflate gate because of football manipulation is the latest example. Cutler trucks safeties and helicopters into the endzone. if you think his team cares about him face on the sidelines look at Manning's forehead.
I honestly see no problem with keeping Cutler. He's still under a very team friendly contract for a few more years. The best way to develop a young QB is to have a veteran ahead of him. If somehow the Bears can get something in a trade for him I'd be fine with that also.

I really loved the Bears picking up Kush. I saw him on Hard Knocks this year and thought he performed well in training camp.

When Fox talks about his "next man up" theory that's the kind of performance you want to see where it becomes more than just a theory. He and Larsen both stepped up.
Pace has been smart enough to keep picking up these discards from other teams always looking to improve that back end of the roster. That may actually be one of his best traits as a GM. He's not shy about making moves to pick guys up and add them to the roster or the PS. I think LeBlanc is another guy he was smart to pickup and he just added a TE that Baltimore has been trying to sneak onto and keep on their PS.
These guys aren't true "difference makers" but really good teams have excellent vet depth and many times this is how you get it. Some guy may not be good enough to keep on another roster that's loaded at that position but he may be plenty good to make yours.

If Cutler can finish well and keep his TOs down, that's exactly what I hope they do, especially if the team ends up picking lower than we thought it would. Hate to see us making the mistake of reaching for a QB cuz we NEED one and then throwing a rookie into the fire too soon.

This is exactly where I'm at with it in both cases.
IMHO you don't just release a vet QB with his experience and talent. If you decide to move on from him you do it via trade. The Vikings paid a 1st and a 3rd or 4th for Bradford so to say Cutler isn't worth a high pick or two makes no sense to me. Yeah, Bradford is younger but he's also less talented by a long shot.
Second, unless you plan on continuing to remain a second division team you don't part ways with a QB you can win with and have won with until you have the shiny new one at least parked in your garage. We don't. No one needs a HOF QB to win with but every team needs one that's at least competent and can run a full offense.
But again. My purpose in posting this thread was less to make an argument about his staying or going than it was to point out how biased and wrong the media has often been about him. It's been pretty brutal at times. The media reports it, the sheeple believe it, and pretty soon myth becomes their reality.
The ironic thing is the media flip flops on him all the time as the headline of that article prove. Two weeks ago he was done in Chicago because Fox told friends he was and this week it's "not so fast. Like Cutler said himself it's been going on like this for over 4 years now so he doesn't give it much thought.
So if it happens it happens and if it doesn't it doesn't. But if it does then it should be simply because he isn't getting the job done not because of some bullshit out his pouty face or his teammates not respecting him or playing hard for him. That's the kind of crap that pisses me off because none of it is true.
