For teams that have the cap money, this is one heck of a great opportunity. There's going to be some really good talent available. I expect it to be something like we've never seen before.

I completely agree, JABF. It's like when the market takes a temporary hit due to short-term emotional factors and stocks "go on sale".
Ryan Pace would be wise IMO to clear as much cap space as he reasonably can and bargain shop. Skrine was an obvious place to start. Add in Graham. How about Massie? I'm sure there's other opportunities out there if you look hard.
The current salary cap decline is TEMPORARY. We are gonna be at herd immunity by summer at the latest, folks. Revenues will rebound smartly next season.

+1
I was thinking the exact same thing. The Bears could be strategic and pick up a few players who could really help the team. The better teams always find a way to open up needed cap breathing room. I'll bet anything that Pace is going do make some moves. This could be a great opportunity.
If ever there was a year to have some shopping cash, it's this year with the expected blood bath of cuts league wide that's coming.
Teams with a ton of cap space like NYJ & Jacksonville are gonna be able to feast on some bargains if they choose. OTOH, we have all seen "dream teams" formed mainly from free agency flop in the past.
I have been looking for free agents the Bears might acquire. The Colts have a ton of players going into FA, and I think they will not keep Anthony Walker. If we picked him up and cut Danny Trevathan, I believe he can play as well (or better) than Danny at this stage, and would save us a lot of money. What do you think?

No, it wouldn’t. Look at the contract.
There no significant cap relief on Trevathan until 2022 at earliest. Cutting him this year just generates dead cap with little savings.
