Yes, Theo built this team, along with Jed and a lot of help from Joe, but I tell you what, it all started with the ownership change. When all these other guys are getting the accolades, don't forget to thank Tom and the rest of the Ricketts ownership group. They bought that team because they were life long Cubs fans and they had the resources to do so. They spared no expense and now they will reap the benefits. Ricketts did exactly what an owner should, he bought the team and then hired the best to get it done and he didn't shackle them with unrealistic goals. He knew it would take time and he knew Cub fans would be there when they finally got the results they were looking for. The Chicago Cubs brand may now be one of the best in all of sports and I can't freaking believe it, but you can't thank Theo, Jed, Joe and the players without thanking the very top, because that's where it started. It may not be popular because no one likes the "rich" guy, but it's the truth.

Well with the rumors being floated that the McCaskey's are considering selling some of their interest in the team maybe we'll get lucky and it's the Ricketts group who'll buy in. Wouldn't that be a hoot?
If these three videos don't give you the chills, I honestly don't know what will.
FACKING DICK!!!!!
Lol posting this stuff to make me read it at work. I deal with roofers all day and sometimes they don't understand why a guy behind the counter can tear up a bit. I then ask them how they would feel if the Leafs were to win sometime in 2060 when they are hundred how would they feel?
Beautiful to watch....The parade was amazing...so nice to see all these Chicagoens (is that right?) cheering and happy all at once. I was sooooo happy to be surrounded by Bears and Cubs fans a month ago and still get chills when I think about it.
I now want to come back to Chicago in August with my Daughter and Wife to see the Cubs play the Blue Jays at Wrigleys. fack amazing...
First off congrats, and I mean that... Hope the enjoyment doesn't wear off for some time. Wanted to say that first so as not to seem trolling... You should know that you had most of northeast WI (where I live) rooting along with you. After the Braves left MKE in 65' we had no MLB team until we got the expansion Brewers in 70'. So there were many fans here that adopted the Cubs and passed that down through the generations. Congrats to those fans as well....
The Group I have a problem with is the Brewer fans that glommed onto the Cubs in the last month. I have a sister who posted "Go Cubs" on her FB page. I messaged her and said "you're from Kiel, what are you doing?"... I asked her how many Cubs fans would root for the Brewers if it was reversed and she rightly responded: "zero"... I said "that's right, zero, because they get what a border rivalry is".... When I was a kid I rooted for the 85' Bears because my dad said we should because they are in our division... He never said I had to root for the Cubs... As for the Brewers? Wait till next year:) or 3 years:)

Actually I think you would find far more Cub's fans cheering for the Brewers than you think. I don't think there is as big of a rivalry between the Cubs and Brewers like you think. It's not like the Bears and Packers. The Brewers really haven't been good enough just like the Cubs haven't been good. They have both kind of been in the same boat. I myself would pull for the Brewers depending on who they were playing.
The Cardinals are the true rival and no respectful Cubs fan would ever cheer for them.

Well you could still root for the Bears and we'd think that would be just swell. LOLOL
