One sportscaster stated this series might be the best ever, if not it is one of the best. More then one sports outlet is calling Game 7 the best Game 7 ever, even here in Denver they are calling it the greatest Game 7 ever.
I agree with that. But the world series, or even game 7, really that doesn't matter. As a game, as a single baseball game, it was one of the best ever. The fact it was a world series game, and a game 7, and two team with long dry spells, only adds to the legend this game will become.
108 is NOT a few years. By that reasoning we should have 108 all-star hall of famers on the team. Sorry, I don't buy that argument.
we were talking about a Hawks threads addition to this board as a plus during the offseason, maybe we should think about Cubs too, what do you think?
I agree. It's great to be able to talk to friends about Chicago sports. And the people here I consider friends. Like the official bears board, the official hawks and Cubs boards are overun by trolls and I don't go there.
I was a Cubs fan first when I was 7 or 8 (1966 or so). Started with the Blackhawks around 10 (1968) and then the Bears in the 70s. Never a Bulls fan, I dislike basketball. Oh and I went to several Chicago Sting games back in the day when soccer was making a run for popularity.
So yes, a hawks and cubs forum would be awesome. probably should have a sox one too, but there aren't many of those fans, at least from what I remember at the old DaBears place.

I went the other way, started watching Bulls religiously in 92/93, Bears 15y ago, Hawks few years after that. Baseball im ignorant about, sorry to say
Kidding aside , I've now seen every Chicago team become World Champions :
- Bears - Bulls - Sox - Blackhawks - Cubs
... in that order & every one was special .
Beautiful. Now lets go get some more !!!
I can add the Chicago Sting to that list. That was as amazing as well. Everyone picked the New York Cosmos to win. They went by the Cosmos. the fans all referred to the Chicago Sting as Der Sting cuz we had so many germanic players. The Cosmos got all pissy because only they could be referred to as {the Team Name}, everyone else had to be called the {City and Team Name}. We showed 'em that year. 1981 I think.
I didn't have a dog in the fight last night, but I will admit I was hoping Chicago would pull it out. What a game...thank god I wasn't a fan of either team or the stress might have killed me. Congrats to the Cub fans out there...you all deserve it as does the city of Chicago. Now here's hoping Chapman comes back the Yanks and we see you back in the World Series soon!
