QB play? Both are average at best. One is a turnover machine who has the arm strength and willingness to go for the win while the other plays it safe while the stats say he's doing great he's only throwing for YAC. Similar to Tom Brady but doesn't have the arm strength to do what he does.

WR play? We lost Marshall and that really hurt. It regressed this team more than most would of thought. White is getting outplayed by an undrafted rookie and isn't looking too good on our first round pick. Jeffery plays great in the first half but is no where to be found in the second. Marshall was able to demand double coverage to allow Jeffery to look good. Jeffery isn't even playing to his Franchise tag price. I know many want to keep him because he's above average but giving the man 14 million a year might not be the best thing.

Secondary play? Tracy Porter seems to be getting worst as the season goes on. Now he gave up a TD? I don't know why Pace thought it was a great idea to resign this man at the price he paid. I don't know if Fuller played a huge part or not in this secondary but its showing that our secondary is bad. Very bad.

Pass Rush play? One of our strengths last year is now one of our biggest weaknesses this year. Houston is out and most likely is gone. Mcphee is coming back after a bad knee injury. This year is a great year for a pass rusher. Do we attempt to draft one or do we have faith in Floyd who has had only .5 sacks this season. Young is a keeper for sure but in order for us to have a successful defense we need to be able to create a pass rush.

John Fox coaching? This is a man who has a history of having a terrible offense. He lucked out in Denver with Manning but his history of play with the Panthers is showing us why they got rid of him. His conservative play calling is getting out of hand. Loggains seems to be following his footsteps. If we keep this up we might need to let go of Fox after this season. Allow Pace to sign his man.

We lost to two back to back 1-3 teams. Something needs to change. This regression is worst than the Trestman one.

We haven't had to go against a top team like the Packers or Patriots yet. Get ready for Rodgers to expose us.

When we regressed with Trestman, the team was a complete mess. People calling each other out in the locker room, players going off and doing other things than football. Coaches ripping players in the media. It was the worst I have ever seen. The games were being lost because of a combination of bad players, bad coaching, and no discipline. We had all kinds of penalties... players just did not care any more. We went from a team that was like second in offense to one of the worst int he league. THAT is what I call regression.

We do not have anything close to that. We had a team that was not very good last year and now we have a team that may be even worse, but it won't be the same kind of regression. Maybe a difference of 3-4 games without the dysfunction that we saw under Trestman. It's a bad team, but our players are better and we SHOULD be doing better, but don;t forget, under Trestman, we had a top scoring team that was under the same offense in a second year for the first time in a very long time. There were even bigger expectations than this year where everyone acknowledges a rebuild.

Just different. For me anyway, there is no way we regressed more than that Trestman second year team did. That was a legendary meltdown.

We are a bad team. It's not like we were a good team last year and became a bad team this year. I think the #1 problem on offense is our QB situation. Hoyer is so limited with his weak arm that the game gets reduced to running or short passes. His long balls lack any power or accuracy.

I also think that this limits what the OC can do.

ok, so sounds like we have different opinions on the second Trestman year and this year.

I just write that off as players frustration to losing. I'd rather have that than have them not caring. I thought the hot dog comment by Fox was just frustration on his part too. Nobody likes to endure a season like this. Not players, coaches or the fans. And it's going to continue all season long. This is as good as it gets this year.

I will say this though. Loggains might be smart enough to tailor his game to Hoyer. He might realize that that is all hecan do and so that is all he is doing.

I say might because I am still trying to decide if he is simply doing what Fox wants. This type of offense is really a John Fox of offense, so not sure if it's smarts on Loggains part or just incompetence following orders.
