I'd say there is a solid 10 I would take over Daniels, and considering Chase's pay rate that's about 6 to many. Would I be thrilled w/any of those guys. Not many of them, actually none at 5mil a year, but I cannot think of any being worse then Chase has looked.

Well, you can bump your backup QB count that you would like to have to eleven, because the Eagles just signed... Josh McCown!

He's done it, everyone. Josh has now played for over 1/3 of all the NFL teams. Big round of applause for my man, the best backup QB in the biz.

he went 1 and by not muffing up the 1st and completely losing the 2nd.

with a backup you dont really expect him to win the game, but you dont expect him to hand the other team a W all on his own.

I liked Grier a lot this year and was somewhat hoping we can get him in the draft. Brissett is also a good choice and so are Paxton Lynch, Cooper Rush, McCarron and Tyrod Taylor. It would be nice if could actually draft a decent backup next year. Even Bortles who's a bad starter would be a better backup than Daniel imo.

No doubt there is a lot of trash at the backup position, but it's not all trash. If you are going to have a retread vet, you can do better then Chase, espeically for the money. If you want a young guy w/potential you can do better then Chase and Bray.
