If we end up with a 4-12 season, there is no reason to bring back Fox. Team got worse, Performance got worse and most Players didn't make a step Forwards in this case. We Need a new OLB and QB to win games. We Need to draft them and with a bad season, we get to make to pick the best Pass rusher and a 2nd round QB (or trade up) or vice versa. We could ship off a vet or two to get more picks. Cutler to whoever is deseperate enough. Willie Young is our only pass rush but getting older each year and maybe the most valueable trade asset we have. Big blow for this season but this season is lost anyways. Could give us a good return by a Team in contention and the Need for a better pass rush.
We could end up with picking 2x in the 1st and 1x 2nd added to a 3rd round pick or two. This would help us big time, gives enough picks for the help needed - Pass Rush, OL, QB and we have Free Agency for a Position like CB
if you are gonna fire Fox, do it asap and see if the DC is ready to lead. if he's not, at least you gave him his shot before you brought in another guy

I'm not a fan of firing him mid-season. As next HC, I want a OC or ST guy. I wanted Todd Haley before and still think he'd be a good choice for us. I think McDaniels has learned much and his second try will end up with a much better result. Not to mention, that Pace would have the say on the roster, not McDaniels or Haley. They can't ask for it like Lovie could or a guy like Fox can.

The 1 good thing about having McDaniels as a HC. It would be a hell of a way to get rid of Cutty. LOL
But all seriousness I would like to get some new blood, A fresh thinking outside the box Coach. A proven Coach from the NCAA, NOT FROM THE CFL!!!!
Of course the media knows nothing has no information and are in general morons so most of this cannot be taken serious. Just messin w/ya Soul.
Biggest reason for not bringing Fox back is the clown show that are his press conferences WHEN you are not winning. Bill Bel gets to act like that, he's won multiple SB's and is going into the HoF w/out question. Fox has acted like a ginormous douche since he got here, and it's only getting worse. Worse is his lack of ability to out perform other coaches as stated. I don't think Hou/Philly would have been winnable games, but they would have been closer.
but alas this is just media folk and they are no nothing morons and cannot be listened to.
Houston was definitely a winnable game--we were up 14-10 at half receiving the ball to start the 3rd. That's a situation where you have a clear edge to get the win. I wouldn't say it's was just "winnable", I'd say it was a game that should have been won. It was lost by a WR ****up (just the way Tate lost the game for Detroit in week 4) and a coaching staff that was completely schooled all 2nd half.
They made adjustments. We did not counter. Coaching.

What the hell... let's bring in a basketball coach😭

It was a 4 point game on the road against a really good def at 1/2 time. I understand what you are saying, but 4 points on the road doesn't really mean anything.
priceonomics.com/modeling-the-probability-of-winning-an-nfl-game/ Here is a link(not sure how old it is) about win loss based on score and how much time is left. 3+ points at 1/2 time is somewhere about 67%, but down by 3+ is still over 40%. What this doesn't show is home vs road; I would bet home teams have a better shot at coming back by 3+ then road teams are. So maybe it was winnable, but it was probably at best a coinflip at 1/2 time; it was definitely still a game.
We had all the emotional momentum going into half. Opening up the 3rd with a FG drive would have put us in the drivers seat to win and that's not asking very much. Scoring a TD there would have been a near knockout-punch. That's wasn't a good offense we were facing.
Instead, Kevin White handed them the ball and the Bears coaching staff spent the rest of the 2nd half befuddled by everything Houston did, on both offense and defense.
Fact is that Houston team had high expectations and a lot of confidence and that wasn't shaken by a small deficit. They made adjustments and came out and did what they had to do(not surprising) and the Bears coaches were in fact befuddled and choked(along w/players(also not surprising). But the game was far from a given at 1/2 time. I watched that game w/my dad and both were pleasantly surprised by the 1st 1/2, but neither thought the game was a given.

Personally, I'm not sold on Loggains play calling improving. This is due to the weaker defenses the Bears have been playing recently. There was a heavy dose of run game before Hoyer. Those plays weren't gaining any ground then. Given the musical chairs being played on offense early in the season, it may just have been an execution or lack of practice problem. Just not enough data yet.
