I'd be happy with this . Great talent - and as a backup plan , they should also draft Baker Mayfield in rd 4 just to have quality depth at the most important position on the team .
Should be a lt or de or olb if they had drafted dak innthe fourth instead of the backups they got.
Totally agree. Dak was there but like all the other teams, we had no clue. As to who we draft... I mean seriously we played three games and we have no idea how we will finish 16. Nor do we know if Watson is even the best.

... but at least we got some depth at LB and S and some "special teams " players - but DEPTH at QB ? Nah we don't need no stinkin depth at QB - hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha .

Honestly I don't know how I feel about this year's QBs. To be honest none of them look any good. Last year looked much better.
Honestly I rather have the best defensive prospect since Von Miller ( Myles Garrett ) picked in the first.
Houston's days are numbered here and Mcphee is one bad knee injury away from a career ending one.
I think the qb's now look better then last year, and I'd be real careful about "the next great player since" That was Luck since Peyton and he's not anywhere near that good.
Either way I want them to target that guy and that guy, O D, QB, DE, OLB, LT etc.
Oh for Christ sake **** the draft. Let's figure out what to do with the here and now as far as an OC or maybe a HC and his entire staff. We could end up with new one next year and it's useless to speculate on the next great black or white hope at QB for the Bears.
If we do draft Watson let's hope now that Chicago managed to accept a black HC they'll be more accepting of him than the last black QB we had and that was in the late '70s well after integration not the late '50s. It's bad enough to be doing mocks in January but September?
If we do end up with a shot at a top QB and Watson is high on the list I can't wait to read all the counter arguments that begin with "how many black QB's have ever won a Super Bowl". Let's at least trade Cutler first before we spend our top pick on a QB OK?

Now that makes perfect sense because from the look of it come hell of high water they're gonna at least try like hell to make a pass rusher out of Floyd and I don't see him ever becoming a great one and maybe not one at all. Not unless they can put 30lbs on the kid like we did with Dent.
I'd be willing to bet when McPhee comes off the PUP, if he does, he's toast. The knee is shot and it's Tommie Harris time again. I think Willie Young's extension was the second tip off to this. Drafting Floyd was the first. I like Houston but two ACL surgeries in two years? He won't be back either at his salary plus he's another Emery guy.
The good thing is with those guys off the books maybe Pace can get serious next spring and sign a really good pass rusher because our gambles on spending less haven't worked out too well. It's gonna take the combination of what both McPhee and Houston were making to buy one in FA.
