I'm not longing to go back to those days. But I thought the whole idea was to get better - not worse.
Well the problem was Emery/Trestman tried to get better at the very start of this, instead of cleanning house, getting worse for the sake of getting better. This means the process has been delayed now...5 years I think?
If Lovie would have gotten a good OC he might still be here of course if Fox had gone out and gotten a good OC the Bears might not be 0-3.
Now if you ask are the Bears better off with Pace then they were with JA, that's a question that I feel just can't be answered. Because their both terrible.

Yeah, we've had 6 GM/HC changes in 5 years (3 GMs and 3 HCs). If we fire Pace/Fox and hire another 2 guys, that would bring the body count to 8 in a short span of years. Not good. Lethal to a franchise that operates that way. We've all witnessed what happens to unstable franchise who do it that way.
And if they got it wrong (again) with Pace/Fox, then maybe they won't be any better with the next 2 yokels. Heck, we could hire 'em by the dozen and still be a crap franchise. At some point my hope is that we have a pair that do well. Maybe this set will actually work out okay. I'm still hoping that. We all should be hoping that. Constant turnover at the top = failed franchise...
While I wouldn't be against firing Fox(If Fangio wants the job) I would not suggest firing another GM for another 2-3 years minimum. Fox was a bad hire from the get go, and by reports I hear he has way to much control in HH, if that is true, then he needs to go b/c he is failing miserably.
